Shallot Oil

Shallot oil with golden-brown fried shallots in a crystal bowl


  • 1 Bulb of Shallot
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil for Frying


  1. After peeling, cut the shallot in half lengthwise.
  2. Laying the shallot cut side down, cut crosswise into thin slices.
  3. Add olive oil and shallots into cooking pot.
  4. Cook over low to medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Once the shallots turn golden brown, turn off the heat.
  5. Let shallot oil cool and transfer to a clean jar with lid.

Food Safety

  • Discard any oil remaining after 7 days.
